I’m so sorry that it’s been a fair while since I last blogged. I’ve been busy beavering away however no job has really jumped out at me saying “write about me” until now…..
We moved from London to Kent over the summer into a very old house that needs an enormous amount of work. We’re currently in the middle of planning hell so i can’t really do anything funky to the house right now so I thought I’d start on the kids furniture.
Seb turned 7 in September and I decided I would funk up his wardrobe. It used to be Chloe’s and therefore was painted pink which he wasn’t a fan of. Seb loves his sport and during the Olympics began to realise what it means to be British and therefore it was a no brainer to try and paint a Union Jack on his wardrobe.
I did quite a bit of research into the measurements and angles. I found this link on the fabulous Dovetails Vintage website and it was so so helpful.
Measuring up and placing the masking tape was seriously complicated. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so it definitely had to be just so. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with the end result and it’s the first thing that Seb shows his friends which makes me beyond happy. I hope you like it as much as I do 🙂
